High Protection Company can armor almost any vehicle available on the market, having said that there are some vehicles that are better than others in supporting the additional weight associated with ballistic materials including the transparent and opaque armor components. This is especially true for the higher levels of protection (Levels B4 and above) given the higher weight associated with the materials needed to defeat these higher threats. Since the primary goal of of HPC is to first and foremost provide complete passenger protection, and after that maintain the original performance and appearance, we recommend our clients begin the process with a heavier duty vehicle (e.g. Chevy Suburban or Tahoe, Toyota Land Cruiser, Sequoia or Four Runner, Mitsibishi Pajero or Montero, Range Rover, Ford Excursion, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Armada, GMC Denali, Cadillac Escalade, Chrysler Aspen, Mercedes SUVs, Porsche Cayenne, Honda Pilot etc.) This assists in the modification process and minimizes any needed upgrades of the suspension, shocks and brakes. Each vehicle’s suspension, shocks and brakes are assessed and are modified based on the needs of each vehicle. In those instances when HPC determines that additional modifications are recommended to ensure peak performance, we select from the very best aftermarket suppliers of suspension, shocks and brake components. Additional high performance upgrades can be requested at additional cost and installed during production.
